Trouser Toile

The patches of leather that i was appliqueing onto my trousers weren't staying in line when the trousers where on It was hard to keep them in a certain way as the body is made up of different shapes. On my final garment i have decided to not apply the patches, and stick to the plain blue fabric for the main panels.

My trousers toile didn't go to plan. The fabrics i was working with weren't working. Therefore i changed my fabrics to more suitable fabrics. As you can see the fabrics i used to toile (voile) stretched and ripped when sewn through a machine.

The side panels of what will be leather on my final garment worked well. They stayed inline with the body, and to the shape i wanted them. I will continue to apply the panels to my garment. I think that the contrast in fabrics will look good.
