My mermaid tail on my dress become more of a problem when I cut it on the bias So my tutor helped me use a different method so that my tail sat nicely. It was a easy method, which I am going to repeat on the leotard side panels. I began by holding my fabric on the bias, holding it to the waist line I wish to have. The I pinned the waist band in the correct position and began to cut the fabric to the shape I wanted. It looked a million times better and was a easier solution. I have practiced a hand sewn rolled hem, but it seems to be taking a long time to do a small portion. So I am currently having a rolled hem machine set up so I can experiment with that instead of doing it by hand.
