I have decided to create a leotard as part of my third outfit. I thought it would be hard to create as I have never made one before. Despite my thoughts i seemed to be good at making leotards. I sampled on my toile with different finishes such as cover stitch, adding extra fabric to act as a binder and heming. I think that the binding work well on my neck line, therefore I will continue this method threw to my final piece. But I think the cover stitch worked better on the leg and the arm. Here are some pictures.
This arm has been cover stitched, I think it works well with the fabric and finish I am after.
ThIs is the cover stitch that I will be applying on my real leotard.
The left leg is the cover stitch, and the right leg is the binding. I think that the cover stitch changes the leg hole for the better.
The neck line works perfectly, creating a neat and tidy finish. However the high neck line didn't agree with the binding, therefore I will re-do my pattern piece so that the neck line is lower and able to sit correct on the body.
