When talking about opposites it can be as simple as big and small or fat and thin. I am looking into the combination of the opposites, clashing! I was instantly inspired by clashing patterns, so this was my next route to take. The colour, the style of construction, position arrangements, techniques used and the fabric will all change dramatically with different themes. For instance to combine black and white gives a dramatic effect, because they are such bold clashing colours. To combine big and small element creates illusions of scale. To use heavy and light weight fabric creates a different flow on the fabric.
