Jessie J's domino music video has inspired me with constructions of garments and shapes. Her outfits are the best of clashing in a music video I have seen yet. The use of colours are still in with a scheme, but the colour scheme is clashing. Brights vs brights, pales vs pales. The clothes chosen reflect on the lyrics to the song: 'You got me loosing my mind, My heart beats out of time.' Clashing in fashion is made to look out of control, wild, misunderstood. When really, each piece is carefully chosen to illuminate the patterns or colours on the opposite piece. The stylist of Jessie J has inspired me to create garments based around living on the edge of mentality. Clashing fabrics is a important part of getting across my theme.
