YVES SAINT LAURENT

Yves Saint Laurent designed a dress based on Mondrain's painting and Mondrians painting was based on the golden ratio. Yves Saint Laurent released the dress in 1965, 45 years after the painting was created. The high street copied the idea and later released high street replica's of this particular dress. Its so famous for being based of the golden ratio, before I ahd learnt about the golden ratio I knew the dress was about sizing in nature and theories but never knew what t was exactly about. 'Mondrian', dress, Yves Saint Laurent, 1965. Museum no. T.369-1974
