Fur is seen as a luxoury clothing item, worn by the upper class as it s expensive. Fur is an old fabric and has been used in cothing for mnay years. the term 'a ur' generally means a coat or wrap. For many years campagners have protested against using fur as fabric.
Fur is used for its durabilty and warmth, worn in hte mild and cold heat. Fur is seen as a luxourish, rich fabric only used at the top end of fashion, some fashion designers refuse to us fur due to moral beliefs and animal cruelty.
Common animal sources for fur clothing and fur trimmed accessories include fox, mink, beavers, ermine, otters, sable, cats, dogs, coyotes, chinchilla and possum. The U.S have been the most strict on fur banning several kinds.
Animal furs used in garments and trim may be dyed bright colors or with patterns, often to mimic exotic animal pelts: alternatively they may be left their original pattern and color. Fur may be shorn down to imitate the feel of velvet, creating a fabric called shearing.
I am against using real fur in fashion, even though it looks exceptionally good i would never wear it knowing the story of how it was made. Faux fur is the only fur that should be able to go into making clothes. I myself have a faux fur jacket, that keeps the warmth in and looks expensive, plus no harm was done to animals.
